Central American Federation (iPad Idea #15) by DaFreak47 Central American Federation (iPad Idea #15) by DaFreak47
Just made some changes to my UPCA Universe in regard to the fact that the original idea wasn't holding true to history.

-Chiapas and Tobasco were annexed after the war with Mexico.
-Capital moved to San salvador.
-10 semi-independent republics instead if provinces.
-Only Veragua annexed instead of all of Panama.
-No Spanish-Central American War.
-San Juan Canal administered by the British in exchange for relinquished claims over British Honduras and the Mosquito Coast.

Any questions or suggestions in the comment section.

What is the POD that allowed FRCA to survive exactly?

Ummm are you talking about my Central America universe or something else? Cuz I'm currently in the process of remaking the Texas section of the timeline to make it more realistic, although I need some help.

Well I'm guessing the revamp has Texas lacking Alta and Baja California.

Just wondering but where do you usually get your information for this stuff
usually.

Yeah its a bit different. I only included those territories originally because Sam Houston proposed they be annexed by Texas and they were sparsely populated. But the Texas military was not large enough to keep order in such a large area, even with the sparse population.

For REALLY broad stuff Ill just use Wiki, but for specifics I just research on as many different sites as possible to compare information. Wiki has got almost nothing on the UPCA/FRCA so most of that came from other sites that I don't remember.

Now it is less of a wank and more of a wishful but realistic scenario. Which means I like it. A lot. Though I do miss UPCA Puerto Rico... That was just wonderful... *swoons*

Yeah the original one just didn't add up any more. First the UPCA. Then the FRCA with Izabal as the capital. Now the Central American Federation. As it turns out, San Salvador became the capital of the FCR before it balkanized. Also, Ive given in to the fact that Central America could probably not defeat the Spanish in a naval war in 1898.
